Jo Jae Hyun is an award-winning veteran South Korean actor who has appeared in film, TV and theater. Born on June 30, 1965, he made his acting debut in the 1988 short film “I Love You” and is best known for appearing in almost all of director Kim Ki Duk’s films. After graduating from college, Jo Jae Hyun and his friends established a theatrical company known as Jongak and staged many productions. He has since enjoyed a prolific career in many popular films and television dramas, including the recent “Gye Baek” (2011), “Scandal: A Shocking and Wrongful Incident” (2013), “Punch” (2014), “Master: God of Noodles” (2016) and “Solomon's Perjury” (2016-2017). In addition to his acting, Jo Jae Hyun has served as chairman of the Gyeonggi Film Council since 2009, executive festival director of the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival since 2009 and chairman of the Gyeonggi Arts Center since 2010. He also wrote and directed his first feature film “A Break Alone” in 2015. Jo Jae Hyun’s daughter is actress Jo Hye Jung.

Young Joo is a detective. As she spends the better part of her time dealing with criminals, she tends to speak bluntly, but she also has a girlish side to her. Dong Joon is a judge who refuses to use his family's connections and wants to stand on his own. Young Joo's father has been framed for murder, so she tries to prove his innocence. She hopes Dong Joon will help her father after she finds crucial evidence. However, Dong Joon is in danger of failing to be reappointed. Even though he has always wanted to be a fair and righteous judge, he succumbs to temptation when faced with the danger of not being reappointed and convicts Young Joo's father. Young Joo and Dong Joon seem to be enemies, but the future has much more in store for them, and their relationship changes.

Soon Seok considers reporting the incident to the police, but instead decides to get revenge on his own and moves into an orphanage until he grows up, adopting the name “Mu Myeong.” As an adult, Mu Myeong vows to carry out his revenge, infiltrating Gil Do’s inner circle to expose the truth about the now-successful restauranteur, no matter the cost. This drama was adapted from the comic “God of Noodles” by Park In Kwon.
