Jang Hyuk is the stage name of Jung Yong Joon, a popular South Korean actor who is known for his eccentric roles and his raucous laugh. Born on December 20, 1976, he made his acting debut in the 1997 television drama “Models.” He then appeared in the music video for the debut single for popular boy band g.o.d in 1999 and also released his own rap album in 2000 under the name TJ Project. After being cast in his first leading role in 2001, Jang Hyuk has won many acting accolades for his film and television work. Some of his most popular roles include “Please Teach Me English” (2003), “Slave Hunters/Chuno” (2010), “Midas” (2011), “A Tree With Deep Roots” (2011), “IRIS 2” (2013), “Fated to Love You (aka You Are My Destiny)” (2014), “Shine or Go Crazy” (2015), “The Merchant: Gaekju 2015” (2015), “Beautiful Mind” (2016) and “Voice” (2017). Jang Hyuk married longtime girlfriend Kim Yeo Jin in 2008, and they have three children. More recently, he has since gone on to star in drama series “Bad Papa” (2018) and has also featured in hit variety and reality shows, including “Urban Cops” (2019).
