About Hyun Bin: 
Hyun Bin is instantly recognizable to millions of fans across South Korea and around the world for his memorable roles in a great collection of television dramas. Born on September 25, 1982, Hyun Bin was raised in Seoul before attending Chung-Ang University for Theatre Studies. Widely considered one of the best actors in the entire industry, he got his start in 2002 with the “Shower”, although it failed to be released after funding issues.

Despite this early disappointment, Hyun Bin’s career soon took off, appearing in one successful project after another over the next decade. However, at the peak of his fame in South Korea, he decided to undertake his 21-month mandatory military service – a decision that caused a major stir in the media. Here, Hyun Bin joined the marines, became a top-rated marksman, and committed to active duty on Baengnyeong Island.

After being discharged from the military as an exemplary soldier, Hyun Bin’s massive public profile ensured he became the face of a range of prominent South Korean brands, before revitalizing his acting career to great success.

The year is 2007 and in Afghanistan, a bloody multinational conflict is raging, with a range of troops from the United States and its allies – including South Korea – are stationed in the country. This small 200 soldier-strong force is stationed in the country but is due to withdraw by the year’s end. Meanwhile, a group of Christian missionaries from a South Korean Presbyterian church has entered the country, against government guidelines, on a quest to evangelize among the Afghan population. While moving through the Ghazni Province by bus, the group is kidnapped by armed Taliban gunmen who hold the group hostage.

The terrorists believe that the South Korean civilians will make an ideal bargaining chip in their effort to raise money and force an early exit from the South Korean forces. The South Korean government is reluctant to bargain with terrorists, but the gunmen threaten to kill the hostages one by one if their demands are not met. Seoul dispatches Dae Sik (Hyun Bin), a National Intelligence Service agent, and the diplomat Jae Ho (Hwang Jung Min) to the warzone to negotiate for the group’s lives. It’s a dangerous mission, and soon not only are the hostages at risk, but also their two would-be rescuers.

This film is based on a true story of events that took place in 2007.

During the Joseon Dynasty, King Lee Jo (Kim Eui Sang) is a toady of the Qing Emperor in China – and the Crown Prince decides to attempt a coup to free the nation from the Qing’s influence. His plan involves buying arquebuses, an early form of firearm, from Dutch traders.

However, a rival plot is being hatched by the war minister Kim Ja Joon (Jang Dong Gun), who wants to launch a rebellion and take the Joseon throne. Kim Ja Joon exposes the Crown Prince’s scheme and foils him.

But while aboard, one of the soldiers is bitten by a terrifying zombie being kept in a cage.

The soldier returns to his home village, unaware that he is now the host of a savage infection.

Soon, the entire village becomes infected – with its population turning into flesh-eating zombies.

Gang Lim must navigate this chaos and save his sister-in-law from the twin peril of warring powermongers and gruesome zombies. Is he up to the challenge?
