Hwang Byung Gook is a South Korean actor, screenwriter, and director who was born on August 22, 1968. He graduated from Dongguk University's Graduate School of&nbsp;Film, and made his debut as a writer and director, penning the screenplay and directing the movie “Wedding Campaign” in 2005. He has also appeared in a wide range of movies, such as “Boomerang Family” in 2013, “Fashion King” in 2015, and the more recent “Best Friend” (2020).

While serving a prison sentence for a drug crime he was falsely accused of, Lee Gang Su (Kang Ha Neul) is approached by prosecutor Koo Gwan Hui (Yoo Hai Jin) with an offer that will reduce his sentence. The catch? Gang Su will have to work as a police informant. Gang Su accepts, providing information from his drug-dealer cellmate, and the intel allows Gwan Hui to make major crime busts.
