Han Ga In is the stage name of Kim Hyun Joo, a South Korean actress. Born on February 25, 1982, she was discovered in high school after she participated in television variety show called “Golden Bell Challenge.” She began appearing in commercials and advertisements and then made her acting debut in the 2002 television drama “Sunshine Hunting.” Some of her best-known roles include the 2012 film “Architecture 101” and the television dramas “Moon Embracing the Sun” (2012) and “Mistress” (2018). Han Ga In married actor Yeon Jung Hoon in 2005.

Strange things start to unfold around four friends who have been embroiled in complicated relationships.

Jang Se Yeon (Han Ga In) is a widow who owns a café. Her life takes a scary turn when she receives a mysterious phone call that takes her back to a place where something bad may have happened.

Kim Eun Soo (Shin Hyun Bin) is a psychiatrist who also lost her ex-boyfriend to an untimely death. When the son of her ex-boyfriend comes to her as a new patient, Eun Soo begins to feel uneasy about her buried secrets. 

Han Jung Won (Choi Hee Seo) is a high school teacher who has been trying to have a child with her husband, a famous chef. But her perfect life becomes unhinged after a one-night stand. 

Do Hwa Young (Goo Jae Yee) works as a secretary in a high-powered law firm. The firm takes on the wife of Hwa Young’s ex-boyfriend as a new client, and the woman wants to find evidence of her husband’s infidelity. 

Can the four women survive these dangerous events in their lives?

“Mistress” is a 2018 South Korean drama series directed by Han Ji Seung. It is a remake of the British series “Mistresses,” which originally aired from 2008 to 2010, and an American series by the same title, which ran from 2013 to 2016.

During the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), a scheming Queen Dowager orders an assassination to help her own son on the path to uncontested royal rule. But things take an unexpected turn when a female shaman witnesses the killing. She escapes, with help from the pregnant wife of the Royal Chief Scholar. The shaman tells the woman that her child will have a “noble” destiny and says she will protect it. But she appears unable to keep this promise after she is captured and executed.

Many years later, the Crown Prince Lee Hwon (Kim Soo Hyun) falls in love with Heo Yeon Woo (Han Ga In), the woman the child grew up to become. But fate (and palace scheming) appears to have robbed him of his true love. He is eventually crowned King, but is intrigued when a shaman named Wol comes to court. She bears an incredible resemblance to Heo Yeon Woo...and seems to know secrets about her “death!” Can the duo solve the secret of her identity – and put an end to the palace plots?
