Go Doo Shim is a celebrated veteran South Korean actress who has enjoyed a prolific career in film, television, theater and radio. Born on May 22, 1951, she made her acting debut in the 1972 television series “Chief Inspector” and is known for playing the tirelessly devoted mother figure in many of her works. Go Doo Shim has won the Grand Prize (Daesang), the top award in acting, a record number of six times for her roles in the television dramas “Fetters of Love” (1989), “The Dancing Gayageum” (1990), “My Husband’s Woman” (1992), “Virtue” (2000), “Ode to the Han River” (2004) and “More Beautiful Than a Flower” (2004). Some of her recent memorable roles include “Immortal Classic” (2012), “Marry Him If You Dare” (2013), “A Word From Warm Heart” (2013), “The Legendary Witch” (2014), “High Society” (2015), “The Eccentric Daughter-in-Law” (2015) and “All About My Mom” (2015).
