Jo’elle Lu is a Taiwanese actress, model, and TV personality who was born on December 4, 1976, in Taiwan. She made her debut in the entertainment industry on the long-running variety TV show “Super Sunday” in 1997. She went on to make her acting debut in the 2003 drama series “The Rose.” She has since gone on to appear in the more recent dramas “Mother to Be” in 2020 and 2022’s “49 Days With a Merman.”

Long Jie (Kent Tsai), a high school student plagued by constant misfortune, finds his life dramatically altered when he encounters Ren Yu (Bruce He), a mysterious merman who cannot survive long out of water. After a family tragedy leaves Long Jie alone, he reluctantly helps Ren Yu by bringing him home and allowing him to inhabit his bathtub. As they develop an unexpected friendship, Ren Yu even becomes Long Jie's classmate, adding complexity to their already unusual relationship.
