Choo Sang Mi is a South Korean actress who was born on May 9, 1973, in Seoul, South Korea. She studied at Hongik University’s College of Liberal Arts, where she graduated with a BA in French and French Literature, later going on to attend the Chung-Ang University Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, where she was awarded an MA. She made her screen debut in the movie “A Petal” (1996) and has since gone on to appear in scores of hit dramas, including “Let’s Get Married” (2005) and the more recent “Tracer Season 1” (2022).

For seven years, Shin Mi Rae (Kim Sun Ah) has worked in Inju City Hall. Unfortunately, she’s also been the lowest-ranked worker there, making a minimal salary and spending most of her time on coffee runs for her superiors. To help pay back her credit card debt, Mi Rae enters a beauty pageant with a large cash prize – but a bizarre series of events leads to her forcing the current, corrupt mayor to resign, and Mi Rae ends up getting elected mayor herself! While Mi Rae has limited experience in politics, she wants to do right by her constituents, even if it means butting heads with deputy mayor Jo Gook (Cha Seung Won), who has his own political aspirations. Radio program producer Dong Hyun (Han Suk Kyu) is still trying to get over his ex – to the extent that when he receives a record that had particular symbolic importance to his ex, he decides to play the song "Pale Blue Eyes" in the hopes of reaching out to her. However, he ends up reaching someone else entirely: home shopping telemarketer Soo Hyun (Jeon Do Yeon), who narrowly escapes a car accident while listening to Dong Hyun's broadcast. Seeing the incident as a sign, she submits a request online for Dong Hyun to play the same song again the next day, and he obliges, thinking that the song request came from his ex. The two continue chatting with each other online and develop a relationship beyond just talking about music. Will this case of mistaken identity lead to real romance? This movie won several awards, including the 1997 Grand Bell Award for Best Film.
