David Chen is a Taiwanese actor and singer. Born on January 29, 1979, he also is known by the names Chen Yi Fei and Chen Yu Fan. When he was a teenager, his parents sent him to Los Angeles, California, to be educated. But David Chen admitted to spending more time on sports and singing than studying. After he graduated from the University of California at Irvine in 2001, he returned to Taiwan to pursue an acting career. He started out modeling and then made his acting debut in the 2002 television drama “Star” after winning an online casting poll. He is best known for his roles in “My MVP Valentine” (2002), “Nine-Ball” (2005), “Honey and Clover” (2008), “I Do?” (2008), “The Concerto” (2009) and “Absolute Boyfriend” (2012). He also sang two theme songs for “Nine-Ball.”
