Cha Seung Won is a popular South Korean actor. Born on July 7, 1970, he dropped out of Sungkyunkwan University in 1988 to pursue a career in modeling. He broke into acting with the 1997 television series “New York Stories” but it wasn’t until the 2001 hit comedy film “Kick the Moon” that he became a bona fide star. Many other successful film and television roles followed, including “The Greatest Love” (2011), “You’re All Surrounded” (2014) and “Splendid Politics” (2015). Cha Seung Won married his wife, Lee Soo Jin, in 1992.

Disaster strikes for Dong Won (Kim Sung Kyun), who has worked for over a decade to finally buy a place of his own. Admitting she was trying to get to Daegu to get the autograph of a famous baseball player for her friend, Cheol Soo agrees to accompany her. Setting off together, the two embark on an adventure that could very well change both of their lives forever.

An emotional, heart-warming story, “Cheer Up, Mr. Lee” is a 2019 comedy drama film directed by Lee Gae Byok.

When his informant is brutally murdered, police officer Won Ho (Jo Jin Woong) vows to find the killer.

He meets a woman named Oh Yeon Ok (Kim Sun Ryung), who tells him that the man behind the murder is a mysterious drug cartel boss known in the underworld as “Mr. Lee.”

She goes on to explain that Mr. Lee is one of the most dangerous people in the world, and says that he is known to guard his identity carefully.

This same Mr. Lee, she adds, attempted to kill her by blowing up a building. Won Ho visits the scene of the crime and finds a man he believes to be a member of Mr. Lee’s gang – a man named Rak (Ryu Jun Yeol).

Rak agrees to help Won Ho after the latter hatches a plan to set up a drug deal that will hopefully flush Mr. Lee out into the open.

But tracking down the “real” Mr. Lee becomes harder than Won Ho initially thought – as several crooks have already begun using Mr. Lee’s alias to conduct their own nefarious deals.

Can Won Ho discover the identity of the country’s most infamous drug lord?
