Eric Nam is a Korean-American pop singer who rose to fame after competing in the second season of the South Korean television reality show “Birth of a Great Star 2” on MBC in 2012. Born on November 17, 1988, and raised in Atlanta, Ga., Eric Nam graduated from Boston College and was prepared to start a job as a management consultant when he made it on the singing competition through his YouTube audition. After being signed with a Korean record label after his finish on the show, Eric Nam (whose Korean name is Nam Yoon Do) moved to Korea to pursue a music career. Since 2013, Eric Nam has served as host of the music variety show “After School Club.” In 2016, he joined the cast of the popular variety show "We Got Married" with singer Solar of MAMAMOO.
