Deng Chao is a Chinese actor and movie director who was born on February 8, 1979, in Jiangxi Province, China. He attended the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing. He made his TV drama debut in 2001, appearing in “The Joy of Spring.” In 2003, he made his big screen bow, featuring in “When Love Loses Its Memory.” He made his directorial debut in “The Breakup Guru” (2014), a movie he also starred in. He then went on to appear in the 2015 movie “The Dead End,” for which he won the Best Actor prizes at the Shanghai International Film Festival and the Golden Rooster Awards. He is also a former cast member of “Running Man” spinoff variety show “Keep Running.” More recently, he has appeared in the movies “Duckweed” (2017) and “Midnight Diner” (2019). He is married to actress Sun Li, and the couple has two children.
