Deng Chao is a Chinese actor and movie director who was born on February 8, 1979, in Jiangxi Province, China. He attended the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing. He made his TV drama debut in 2001, appearing in “The Joy of Spring.” In 2003, he made his big screen bow, featuring in “When Love Loses Its Memory.” He made his directorial debut in “The Breakup Guru” (2014), a movie he also starred in. He then went on to appear in the 2015 movie “The Dead End,” for which he won the Best Actor prizes at the Shanghai International Film Festival and the Golden Rooster Awards. He is also a former cast member of “Running Man” spinoff variety show “Keep Running.” More recently, he has appeared in the movies “Duckweed” (2017) and “Midnight Diner” (2019). He is married to actress Sun Li, and the couple has two children.

Ma Fei (Bai Yu) is an astronaut ready head off to the cosmos for a historic space flight. But his journey to the shuttle has been anything but conventional.

Growing up was tough for him, particularly after his father Ma Hao Wen (Deng Chao) took the wrap for a building project that went wrong. A bridge his company built collapsed right after opening – and Ma Hao Wen was sent to jail for negligence.

Ma Hao Wen had high hopes for his son, but things get very tough for both after his wife, Ma Fei’s mother, decides that divorce is the best option for her.

Rally driver Xu Tai Lang (Deng Chao) has just won the race of his life and celebrates by taking his elderly father Xu Zheng Tai (Eddie Peng) on a fateful high-speed car ride.

The two men have never seen eye-to-eye: Xu Tai Lang feels that his father was overly strict when he was a child, and never supported him in the pursuit of his dreams. As his mother died when he was still an infant, Xu Tai Lang feels his childhood was deeply unhappy – and blames his father for everything.

The ride ends abruptly when a train crashes into the side of their car. Xu Tai Lang is hospitalized, and drifts in and out of consciousness. Suddenly, he finds himself transported back in time to the late 1990s, when his father was still a young man.

The two strike up a friendship and Xu Tai Lang gets to meet the mother he never knew (Zhao Li Ying). As his father’s new best buddy, Xu Tai Lang discovers a side of his father that he never knew – and begins to understand more about some of the choices his father made for the sake of his son and wife.

The host of the most-listened-to late-night radio program, Chen Mo (Deng Chao) was living the good life. His career was solid, his fame grew, and best of all, he got to go to work every day with the love of his life, his radio show co-host, Xiao Rong (Du Juan). But everything changed the night a lonely listener called into the show, his words inspiring Xiao Rong to leave Chen Mo for good. Tired of missing his globe-trotting girlfriend, Zhu Tou hopes a marriage proposal will bring her home for good but can either of them really be happy after spending so much time apart?

With so much working against them, will these down-and-out souls find a way to be happy in both life and love?

Under the rule of Emperor Huizong, the late Northern Song Dynasty found itself in a state of instability and unrest when counterfeit money began circulating widely throughout the capital. Tasked with finding those responsible for the surge in counterfeit currency, the Department Six Constabulary, led by their strict commander, Liu (Cheng Tai Shen), set out to do just that. Following a tip-off, the Department Six investigators rush to apprehend the suspect, only to find both the suspect and the evidence are already being taken into custody by an unknown secret agency commissioned by the Emperor himself.

Known as the Divine Constabulary, this heretofore unknown force has been working on the Emperor's behalf, entirely in secret. But with their presences now known by all, the commander of Department Six takes their existence as a personal threat. Hoping to bring down the rival agency, Liu secretly orders his best man, Leng Xue (Deng Chao), to infiltrate the Divine Constabulary and find a way to bring it down. Little does Liu know that his own agency has recently been infiltrated by agents working for the counterfeit currency mastermind.

With the Divine Constabulary spearheaded by Leng Xue and his comrades, Wu Qing (Liu Yi Fei), Zhui Ming (Ronald Cheng), and Tie Shou (Collin Chou), better known as The Four, a much more sinister plot than simple counterfeit currency is soon uncovered. Will the rival agencies find a way to put aside their differences for the greater good, or will their constant quarrels allow the entire world to fall into chaos?
