Wu Jing is a Chinese actor, martial artist, and movie director who was born on April 3, 1974, in Beijing, China. He made his debut in the 1996 Hong Kong martial arts thriller movie “Tai Chi Boxer,” following up with his small-screen debut in the series “Master of Tai Chi” in 1997. He has gone on to appear in scores of hit movies, such as “Wolf Warrior” in 2015 and “Call of Heroes” (2016). His more recent movie titles include “The Wandering Earth” and “Looking Up” (both 2019).

In the not-too-distant future, our galaxy’s sun has morphed into an ever-expanding red giant that threatens to consume the Earth. To save the planet from imminent destruction, the United Earth Government has decided to initialize the Moving Mountain Project, an ambitious program employing massive fusion engines to move the planet out of the sun’s path.

While most of the UEG agrees that the Moving Mountain Project should be a top priority, there are those, including Zhe Zhi Zhou (Li Xue Jian), the diplomate heading up the UEG’s Chinese delegation, who believe the UEG should focus their attention elsewhere. More interested in saving humanity’s collective consciousness than saving the Earth itself, Zhi Zhou believes the global Digital Life Project and its ability to transfer a human’s consciousness into artificially intelligent computer programs, would better serve humanity.&nbsp;

With supporters of both projects willing to go to extremes, saboteurs attacking at every turn, the moon inevitably destined for destruction, and the sun’s relentless march to wipe out humanity, UEG faces insurmountable odds on every side. Will the UEG’s dedicated scientists be able to successfully launch the Moving Mountain Project and ultimately save humanity, or will those opposed to the project ultimately bring about the world’s destruction?&nbsp;

An exciting prequel to the 2019 film, “The Wandering Earth”, which was based on the short story of the same name by Liu Cixin, “The Wandering Earth 2” is a 2023 Chinese science fiction action-adventure film directed by Frant Gwo.&nbsp;

In a compilation of seven short films, seven directors explore the history of modern China and its people, going back to the 1940s and the aftermath of World War II, on the eve of the birth of the People’s Republic of China, through to the 1960s, the 1980s, the 1990s, and finally the 2010s, with stars like Song Jia and Ou Hao making appearances.

The first film focuses on an engineer struggling to organize a ceremony to mark the birth of the nation and the second tells the story of a love-sick nuclear scientist. In the third film, a young boy does what he can to help his neighborhood watch the gold medal match of the women’s volleyball competition in the 1984 Olympic Games.

The remaining films focus on more recent events, including two groups of people preparing for the handover of Hong Kong by the British colonial government in 1997. There is another Olympic story in a film about events surrounding the 2008 Olympics, which were held in Beijing, as a taxi driver decides to gift a ticket he had bought for his own son to another boy.

In the sixth film, two homeless boys watch a spectacular space mission in the 2010s. And in the final film, a female air force pilot attempts to ensure that a military parade to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second Sino-Japanese War goes off without a hitch

Ma Fei (Bai Yu) is an astronaut ready head off to the cosmos for a historic space flight. But his journey to the shuttle has been anything but conventional.

Growing up was tough for him, particularly after his father Ma Hao Wen (Deng Chao) took the wrap for a building project that went wrong. A bridge his company built collapsed right after opening – and Ma Hao Wen was sent to jail for negligence.

Ma Hao Wen had high hopes for his son, but things get very tough for both after his wife, Ma Fei’s mother, decides that divorce is the best option for her.

Ma Fei begins to struggle at school.

But Ma Hao Wen refuses to give up on his son. When he is released, he decides to take responsibility for his child’s education. But that proves very hard when he struggles to find a job, with local companies reluctant to hire a convict.

Undaunted, Ma Hao Wen attempts to teach his son that real education isn’t always found in the pages of schoolbooks.

Many years later, could the valuable lessons Ma Fei learned from his father help him – and the rest of the space shuttle’s crew – navigate a life-threatening incident in deep space?
