Li Xue Jian

In the near future, Earth faces imminent destruction as the sun expands into a red giant. The United Earth Government launches the Moving Mountain Project to relocate the planet using massive fusion engines. Zhe Zhi Zhou (Li Xue Jian), the Chinese delegation's diplomat, advocates for the Digital Life Project, which aims to transfer human consciousness into AI programs, challenging the planet-moving initiative. With saboteurs threatening the mission, the moon's impending destruction, and the sun's relentless expansion, the UEG confronts seemingly insurmountable challenges. As tensions rise between project supporters, the fate of humanity hangs in the balance. Will the dedicated scientists successfully execute the Moving Mountain Project and save Earth, or will internal conflicts lead to humanity's ultimate demise? This is a 2023 Chinese science fiction action-adventure film directed by Frant Gwo, serving as a prequel to the 2019 film "The Wandering Earth," based on Liu Cixin's short story.
