Mai Hong Mei is a Chinese actress born on August 16, 1970, in Pingdingshan, Henan Province, China. She first made a name for herself as a TV comedienne in the early 1990s and made her movie debut in “The Man Who Pursues Death” (1993). She went on to star in a number of hit comedy TV series and films throughout the early 2000s and also featured in wartime thriller “The Sharp Sword” (2008). More recently, she featured in movies “Finding Mr. Right” (2013), “Cannot Prove” (2015), and The Meg (2018). She was once married to fellow Chinese actor Nan Sun, but the couple divorced in the late 2000s.
