Wei Wei, also known as KK, is a Chinese actor who was born on April 21, 1983, in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China. He graduated from the Central Academy of Drama and in October 2005, made his TV debut as a show host. His acting debut came the year after, when he appeared in the 2006 movie “The Best Banquet in the World.” In 2007, he made his drama series bow in “Long Grass Heart.” More recently, he has starred in the dramas “Ming Dynasty” (2019) and “Love and Redemption” (2020).

The leader of the Shao Yang clan hosts a magic and martial arts tournament for young apprentices. His daughter Chu Xuan Ji (Crystal Yuan), who has been deprived of the use of her senses, has been entered in the competition – even though her skills are far from advanced.

Also taking part in the competition is the Lize Palace’s star student Yu Si Feng (Cheng Yi).

Students are forbidden from embarking on romantic relationships with one another. But when the two meet, they first become firm friends…and then start to develop much deeper feelings for one another.

After a dispute between other students, Chu Xuan Ji is injured and the two young students become separated.

To make matters worse, Yu Si Feng is cursed with a spell that forces him to wear a mask that will only fall away if he can find true love.

The year is 1402, the first year of the reign of Yongle, Emperor of the Ming Dynasty.

In a fit of rage one day, the impulsive and ill-tempered Emperor orders the execution of royal physician Jing Qing and his entire family.

All die, save one – Jing Qing’s eldest daughter (Tang Wei) – who is rescued by a nobleman named Sun Zhong. The latter adopts her and names her Sun Ruo Wei.

The manipulative, power-mongering Qingzheng Cult has plans for Sun Ruo Wei, however, and plots to marry her off to one of the Emperor’s sons.
