Ekin Cheng, also known as Dior Cheng or Cheng Yee Kin, is a Hong Kong singer and actor. He was born in Hong Kong on October 4, 1967 and made his debut in the entertainment industry in 1986. He took his first acting role in 1987 and has appeared in numerous films and television dramas since, including “The Stormriders” (1998).

The vicious and tyrannical head of the powerful Conqueror’s Clan, Lord Conqueror (Chiba Shinichi) has but two goals in life: to subjugate the world and destroy all who stand in his way. Relentless in his quest for ultimate power, Lord Conqueror learns of a prophecy that will guarantee him good fortune. All he has to do is find two young children by the names of Wind and Cloud. Determined to find the children and secure eternal prosperity, Lord Conqueror sends out a decree stating that every boy of a certain age must become a disciple of the Conqueror’s Clan. And so, through bloody battles and many destroyed lives, Whispering Wind (Ekin Cheng) and Striding Cloud (Aaron Kwok) become members of their enemy’s clan, raised by the mighty lord himself, alongside his daughter, Charity (Kristy Yang), and his adopted son, Frost (Michael Tse).

Ten years pass and the two orphaned boys grow under the tutelage of their cruel lord. Now skilled warriors, the adopted sons of Lord Conqueror serve as generals in his mighty army. But the peace Lord Conqueror thinks he has won, is short-lived; for the prophecy which he believed would bring him prosperity was only half spoken. Discovering the second half of the prophecy, Lord Conqueror learns that his reign of blood and tyranny will ultimately come to an end when “wind and cloud become a storm”.&nbsp;

Desperate to change his fate, Lord Conqueror uses all manner of deceit and trickery to set his adopted sons against each other. But even the best laid plans crumble when confronted with the truth. Learning the secrets of the past, and driven by their shared outrage and thirst for vengeance, Wind and Cloud unite in an epic battle to rid the world of the vile lord, once and for all.

Based on the manhua series, “Fung Wan” by Ma Wing Shing, “The Stormriders” is a 1998 martial arts fantasy film directed by Andrew Lau.
