Jackie Chan, born Chan Kong Sang, is a Hong Kong martial artist, actor, film director, producer, stuntman, and singer. He was born on April 7, 1954 in Victoria Peak, British Hong Kong and made his debut in the entertainment world at the age of five, taking on small roles as a child actor. Appearing in countless films over the years, including “Namiya” (2017), he has made a name for himself as one of the most recognizable and influential cinematic personalities in the world.

In a village in feudal Chinese, terrifying goings-on occur when a portal between the mortal and supernatural realm opens up, leading to the disappearance of a number of teenage girls. The villagers seek out the services of Pu Song Ling (Jackie Chan), a veteran demon hunter, armed with a magical calligraphy brush. Pu Song Ling agrees to help, and joins forces with a young police detective named Fei (Austin Lin) as they try to track down the missing girls.

The duo enlists the help of some friendly monsters, but they will need all the support they can get if they are to fight the powers of evil. At the heart of the mystery is the Mirror Demoness (Lin Peng), as well as her sister Xiao Qian (Zhong Chu Xi), a beautiful female demon who is trying to return to the mortal realm. She begins to fall for another demon hunter named Ning Cai Chen (Ethan Juan). Will the forces of good succeed in repelling the evil spirits – and restoring peace to the land?

Best friends since childhood, Ah Jie (Dong Zi Jian), Xiao Bo (Karry Wang), and Tong Tong (Dilraba Dilmurat) have grown up on the streets together. No strangers to trouble, the trio of orphans know the best way to avoid problems with the police is to not get caught, so when they find themselves on the run, they know exactly which places are the best to hide. Or so they thought.

Running into an abandoned general store after an evening of vandalism, the three friends decide to lay low for a while, eventually agreeing to spend the night in the store. All goes well until a mysterious letter appears in what seems to be a magical mailbox. With the letters addressed to the store’s former owner, Namiya (Jackie Chan), the delinquent trio decides to fill in for the absent owner. Answering the letter in his stead, the trio sets off a series of mysterious correspondence with pen pals living 30 years in the past.

Through the letters, the friends begin to piece together the stories of another group of orphans who lived in the 1990s. Even more amazing than connecting with the past is learning how the events in the lives of these strangers came to shape the present of these three friends.

In December of 1941, Japanese forces made their way into China, claiming the country’s extensive railway system as their own. Using the lines from Tianjin to Nanjing as a key military transportation route, the trains which ran between the cities were heavily guarded by Japanese soldiers. But even heavily guarded, the trains were frequently attacked by teams of freedom fighters, particularly those led by Ma Yuan (Jackie Chan).

A simple railroad worker swept up by the tides of war, Ma Yuan’s extensive knowledge of the train network instantly made him a valuable asset to the cause. Gathering a group of fellow railway workers to him, Ma Yuan and his men became a symbol of hope to the people, raiding Japanese trains to supply the starving people of China with much-needed food and supplies. Using nothing but their everyday tools to take on the Japanese soldiers, these freedom fighters became affectionately known as the “Railroad Tigers.” Though heroes to the people, the Japanese saw them in a much different light. Determined to stop them from doing more harm, reinforcements were sent to Shandong. But the reinforcements only served to spur the rebels into greater action.&nbsp;

During the Warring States period (475-221 BCE) of Chinese history, the Liang and Wey armies clash in a fierce and bloody battle that leaves just two men alive on a corpse-strewn battlefield. The first is a veteran combatant known as the Big Soldier (Jackie Chan), who has a knack for tricking people into thinking he is dead on the battlefield by using a fake arrow. The other man is a young general of the Wey (Wang Leehom), who has been wounded in the fighting. Big Soldier realizes that if he kidnaps the general, he can demand a ransom for the man from the rival Liang kingdom, as well as an honorable discharge from the army – and live happily ever after with the bounty.

So Big Soldier decides to do just that. But the journey to Liang lands is not easy for this unconventional duo, who must share a horse on their journey. The general does not want to play along, either, and makes his feelings known. To make matters worse, bandits, opportunist crooks, and other troublemakers litter the way. Riches and glory await Big Soldier if he makes it to Liang...but will he ever get there?
