Byun Yo Han is a South Korean actor. Born on April 29, 1986, he made his acting debut in 2011 and appeared in more than 30 short films while he was a student at Korea National University of Arts. His breakthrough role came in the very popular 2014 television drama “Incomplete Life (aka Misaeng).” The role catapulted Byun Yo Han to leading-man status in the indie hit film “Socialphobia” and the television dramas “Ex-Girlfriend Club” (2015) and “Six Flying Dragons” (2015).

The year is 1592 and Korea is facing a sea invasion at the hands of the fearsome Japanese navy, who have already made landfall on the Korean peninsula and driven the defending army out of its capital. The Japanese General Wakisaka (Byun Yo Han) is seeking a final, decisive battle that will allow his forces to take total control over the peninsula. The only man who can hope to repel the invaders is the wounded Korean Admiral Yi Sun Shin (Park Hae Il). Wakisaka wants to wipe out Yi’s port and eliminate his foe’s greatest warrior. The stage is set for a battle near the Island of Hansan that will determine the fate of both nations...

But preparations for the fight are not going to plan on either side. Wakisaka has developed a rivalry with the Japanese Admiral Kato (Kim Sung Kyun), while Yi’s forces have begun squabbling among themselves while he tries to develop a plan that will keep the Japanese at bay. With time running out, can Korea’s greatest sea commander pull off an against-the-odds victory against the invading foes?

In the formation of every great nation, many battles are fought by those who have clashing ideologies and political views. 

It is said that during the establishment of the fledgling Joseon Dynasty, six dragons held vast powers and each fought for their political views. These six dragons — Prince Lee Bang Won (Yoo Ah In), Jeong Do Jeon (Kim Myung Min), Lee Seong Gye (Chun Ho Jin), Boon Yi (Shin Se Kyung), Ddang Sae (Byun Yo Han) and Moo Hyul (Yoon Kyun Sang) — fall on opposite sides of a power struggle between those who want a country ruled by ministers and those who want absolute power. 

Do Jeon helps his father, Seong Gye, who becomes the first King Tae Jo, establish the Joseon Dynasty, but Bang Won, who later becomes King Tae Jong, will become his biggest enemy.
