John Abraham


John Abraham, born in Mumbai, is an actor as well as a film producer. John began his career as a model, but moved into acting after starring in commercials and music videos. John’s debut film, Jism in 2003, won him a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut that year. The negative performance John played in Dhoom in 2004 also won him an IIFA Best Villain Award, and a Filmfare Best Performance in a Negative Role nomination. John has won two other IIFA Awards for his roles in Garam Masala (Best Supporting Actor) and Zinda (Negative Role). Other notable films that John has starred in include Water, Baabul, Desi Boyz, and Housefull 2. John has also produced the 2012 film Vicky Donor, which was considered a success. He has also opened his own production house, John Abraham Entertainment. John is actively involved with PETA and Habitat for Humanity. He is currently engaged to Priya Runchal, an NRI from the USA. John Abraham is actively involved with social communities like PETA and Habitat for Humanity. His efforts earned him an ‘Eco-Warrior’ award from the Vice President of India.
