Sol Kyung Gu is a veteran South Korean actor who has won numerous Best Actor awards throughout his prolific career. Born on May 1, 1968, he is best known for his roles in the “Public Enemy” film franchise, as well as the films “Peppermint Candy” (2000), “Oasis” (2002), “Silmido” (2003), “No Mercy” (2010) and “My Dictator” (2014). He began his acting career in theatrical productions before breaking into film in the mid-1990s. Sol Kyung Gu shot to stardom after his role in “Peppermint Candy,” which brought him much critical acclaim, many Best New Actor and Best Actor awards, and put him on the map as one of the most respected young actors in Korea. In 2014, Sol Kyung Gu began teaching as an adjunct professor in the College of Performing Arts at Hanyang University, his alma mater. He married actress Song Yoon Ah in 2009 after his 10-year marriage to his first wife ended in 2006.

Seven years ago, South Korea’s first manned mission to the Moon ended in disaster, when a tragic explosion wiped out the nation’s first lunar-bound spacecraft. Now, as the year 20230 approaches, South Korea finds itself in a new space race – and is determined to make its second attempt to reach the Moon a success. But shortly after landing, astronaut Hwang Sun Woo (D.O) is driving a lunar rover when a strong wind sends him hurtling into unknown danger. Eventually stranded, it looks like Hwang Sun Woo’s fate is sealed.

The national space center has no choice but to turn to its former Kim Jae Guk (Sol Kung Gu), its former managing director. Kim Jae Guk was forced to leave his post after a controversial incident, and has since taken to a simple life in the mountains. Now it falls to Kim Jae Guk to help guide Hwang Sun Woo to safety, along with other experienced space chiefs such as space station director Yoon Moon Young (Kim Hae Ae). Can Hwang Sun Woo survive this ordeal – or will the ravages of space claim another victim?

In South Korea in the early 1960s, Seo Chang Dae (Lee Sun Gyun) is a pharmacist who dreams of escaping his job and becoming a political strategist. Kim Woon Beom (Sol Kyung Gu), meanwhile, is a struggling politician for the opposition left-wing political party. Both he and his party are experiencing hard times – in the wake of the Korean War (1950-1953), the country is bitterly opposed to left-wingers, branding them all “communists” who want to “betray” the country to the North Korean government. But Seo Chang Dae approaches Kim Woon Beom and explains to him that if he is prepared to fight dirty, he could win political power. The latter is skeptical, but when he finally agrees to try the pharmacist’s methods, he attains phenomenal success at the polls.

Kim Woon Beom uses Seo Chang Dae’s insights and strategies to mount a political platform that takes him from his soapbox on the fringes of regional politics to the national stage. But as they both rise to the top of the political pyramid, a clash of ideals ensues. Kim Woon Beom is not sure that his strategist’s methods are ethical, while Seo Chang Dae’s loyalty to his political ally is about to be put to the ultimate test…

Can a serial killer recognize one of his own? 

Kim Byeong Soo (Sol Kyung Gu) is a former serial killer who used to kill people he thought deserved it because of their atrocious actions, starting with his violent and abusive father. After a car accident contributed to the onset of Alzheimer’s disease a decade ago, Byeong Soo stopped killing and now leads a quiet life with his daughter, Eun Hee (Kim Seolhyun). Byeong Soo keeps a secret diary and voice recordings to try to help him retain his fleeting memories.
