Jessi is a Korean-American, rapper, singer, and TV personality who was born in New York on born December 17, 1988. She relocated to South Korea at the age of 15. She debuted as a solo performer under her full English name, Jessica Ho, while still a teenager, releasing the single “Get Up” in 2005. She later returned to the United States before eventually returning to South Korea and joining the three-member pop and rap group Lucky J, which made its debut in 2014. Her breakthrough came in 2015, when she took part in the “Unpretty Rapstar” all-female rap contest, finishing second in the final placing. She then went on to launch a successful solo career, also appearing on TV shows like “Sister’s Slam Dunk” (2016).
