Peter Sheng, who also is known by the name Sheng Yi Lun, is a Chinese actor, model and singer. Born on September 23, 1992, he made his acting debut in the 2015 television drama “Go Princess Go,” for which he also sang two theme songs. He went on to star in “Pretty Li Hui Zhen” (2017), the Chinese remake of the popular 2015 Korean drama “She Was Pretty,” and “Oh My General” (2017).

It is the late 10th century, and the Liao dynasty is at the zenith of its power. The powerful Liao rule much of what is now Northeast China, Mongolia, and Russia, as well as much of the Korean peninsula.

Prime Minister Xiao Si Wen and Princess Yan of the Liao have three daughters, but their favorite is the youngest – the hard-working and diligent Xiao Chao (Tiffany Tang).

Xiao Chao’s heart belongs to aspiring military commander Han De Rang (Shawn Dou), whose family have loyally served the Liao for decades. But her parents have other plans for her – and succeed in arranging for her to marry the Liao Emperor, Jin Zhong (Jing Chao).

She obeys and goes on to become the Emperor’s queen, as well as a fierce defender of the Liao – helping to mobilize the army, heading a 10,000-strong cavalry regiment and providing support for the civil administration. Eventually, she is named Empress.

In the meantime, however, Han De Rang has continued his own rise through the ranks of both the military and the government, becoming a powerful general and a minister.

The adopted son of the Qin family, Qin Wen Tian (Peter Sheng) was born with the entire world against him. Will their strength and determination be enough to overthrow the plans of the dark-hearted villain backing Tian Jiao and undo the evil that has been wrought at his hands?

The year is 1949 and China is in the final stages of a bloody civil war. The People’s Liberation Army knows that a final decisive push in the Battle of Pingjin will see much of Northern China fall under communist control. While the main battle rages, a human drama is also unfurling, and a senior Nationalist army soldier named Yao Zhe (Wallace Chung) in Peiping (modern-day Beijing) is charged with ensuring the safety of the soldiers’ dependents.

But when a scheming officer compromises the safety of Yao Zhe’s daughter with a deadly and self-serving plan, Yao Zhe seeks to save his child – at any cost.

Together with a tiny clutch of soldiers, Cai Xing Fu has sneaked into the city to scout out its defenses before a final assault on the Nationalist stronghold. He strikes up an unlikely alliance with Yao Zhe.

To further complicate matters, a young woman named Mei Yan (Zhong Chu Xi) is also on the scene, on a secret mission of her own – to avenge the cruel soldier responsible for the death of her parents.

Will this motley crew help keep the death toll down as the battle moves toward its decisive stages? And where do their true loyalties lie?
