Jeon Somi is a South Korean-Canadian singer and TV personality who was born in Ontario, Canada on March 9, 2001. She first made a name for herself when she appeared as a contestant on the music-themed survival reality show “Produce 101” in 2016. She finished in first place on the show and then went on to debut as part of the girl group I.O.I. She made her solo debut in June 2019, releasing the song “Birthday.” She has also appeared on variety TV shows such as “Sister's Slam Dunk Season 2” (2017) and “Don’t Be Jealous” (2020).
