Peng Yu Chang is a Chinese actor. Born on October 25, 1994, he made his acting debut in the 2015 television drama “Go Princess Go.” He has since appeared in a number of films and television dramas, including “Men With Swords Season 1” (2016), “Assassin 2” (2017) and “My Mr. Mermaid” (2017).

Li Ze Lin (Peng Yu Chang) is a student who has failed his university entrance exam. He loves dancing, but he has been sent from his home in the bust city of Guangdong to Haikou, on the balmy Hainan. Gao Yuan (Peng Yu Chang) is an introverted high school student who has been diagnosed with degenerative muscular dystrophy. He is almost completely paralyzed and hospital-bound. And things just get worse when the doctors tell him he does not have much longer to live.

In a compilation of seven short films, seven directors explore the history of modern China and its people, going back to the 1940s and the aftermath of World War II, on the eve of the birth of the People’s Republic of China, through to the 1960s, the 1980s, the 1990s, and finally the 2010s, with stars like Song Jia and Ou Hao making appearances.

The first film focuses on an engineer struggling to organize a ceremony to mark the birth of the nation and the second tells the story of a love-sick nuclear scientist. In the third film, a young boy does what he can to help his neighborhood watch the gold medal match of the women’s volleyball competition in the 1984 Olympic Games.

The remaining films focus on more recent events, including two groups of people preparing for the handover of Hong Kong by the British colonial government in 1997. In the sixth film, two homeless boys watch a spectacular space mission in the 2010s. And in the final film, a female air force pilot attempts to ensure that a military parade to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second Sino-Japanese War goes off without a hitch
