Dou Xiao, who also is known as Shawn Dou, is a Chinese actor. Born on December 15, 1988, he immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, with his family when he was 10 years old. After graduating from high school there, he returned to China to enroll in the Beijing Film Academy in 2008. He gained immediate fame after starring in the 2010 film “Under the Hawthorn Tree” directed by the famed Zhang Yimou. He has since starred in many popular films, including “Youth Dinner” (2017), which brought him the Best Actor award at the 11th Festival Du Cinema Chinois De Paris, and the television drama “Princess Agents” (2017).
