About Kim Seon Ho:

Kim Seon Ho is a rising star and popular actor in South Korea who was propelled into the limelight after the massive success of the hit series “Start-Up”. Born 8 May 1986 as an only child, he went to college at the Seoul Institute of Arts, receiving a degree from the Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment.

In college, he joined a theatre group and began acting in several plays. While performing in the play called “Closer”, he caught the eye of Director Lee Eunjin who suggested he audition for a part in a KBS office drama, which launched his career in television.

2017 was a big year for Kim Seon Ho, as he landed his first main role on television. Later that year, he starred in the drama series “Two Cops” with actor Jo Jung Suk, winning two awards at the MBC Drama Awards.

In 2018, he starred in the romantic comedy “You Drive Me Crazy”, and the historical drama “100 Days My Prince”, one of the most popular Korean dramas in television history. He brought his lovely singing voice to life playing an aspiring singer in the comedy “Welcome To Waikiki” (2019). His next project on the 4th season of the variety show “2 Days and 1 Night”(2019) nabbed him the KBS 2020 Rookie Award.

Kim Seon Ho’s breakthrough to mainstream success and stardom came in 2020. His portrayal of a start-up investor with a tragic past in the massively popular tvN drama ”Start-Up”(2020) garnered him a Baeksang Arts Award nomination, leading to a huge surge in Kim’s popularity. He continued to star in hit dramas, including one that was considered the highest-rated series in Korean cable television history, and was chosen as the face of many top brands in Asia, from electronics and fashion to cosmetics and food. Amidst his busy schedule, Kim Seon Ho has still remained active in the theatre scene, starring in numerous stage plays since his debut.

It was around this time in 2021, when controversy surrounding Kim Seon Ho and his ex-girlfriend surfaced. He has issued an apology, but has since been taken off several projects, including his permanent spot in the “2 Days and 1 Night” variety show.
