AleXa is an American singer, dancer and actress who found fame after winning “Rising Legends: Season 2,” an audition competition program sponsored by Soompi and Cube Entertainment. Winning the top prize in the show in 2017 gave AleXa the opportunity to travel to Seoul, South Korea, to officially audition for Cube Entertainment and record her debut song and music video. She also stars in “LEGENDARY: Making of a K-Pop Star,” a 2017 Viki Original series that follows her trip to Seoul to experience the K-pop star treatment for the first time. She debuted as a K-pop singer in October 2019 and released her single album titled "Bomb" on. In 2022, she won NBC's American Song Contest with the song "Wonderland" where she represented her home state Oklahoma. The daughter of a Korean adoptee, AleXa grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She began taking dance classes at 18 months and has taken ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, lyrical and tap. She joined a competitive dance team in 5th grade and has been involved in her high school pom team and elite show choir. AleXa says she was first exposed to K-pop in 7th grade, when she and her best friend had to do a group project about a Chinese celebrity for their Chinese class, and they chose Henry from Super Junior. She has been a big fan ever since.
