Jung Je Won, or One, as he’s better known as, is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. He was born in Seoul, South Korea, on March 29, 1994 and made his debut as a member of the hip-hop duo, 1Punch, in 2015. Later that year he signed with YG Entertainment and made his debut as both a solo and an actor in 2017. Since then he has appeared in several television dramas including, “Hwayugi” (2017), “Room No. 9” (2018), and “Her Private Life” (2019).

If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to develop the story of a web drama romance, you’re about to find out as two teams of celebrities face off in a competition like no other!

Perfect strangers, Jung Je Won and Kang Han Na must come together as one of two teams tasked with developing a fresh and compelling story for a soon-to-be released web drama. The challenges before them are immense, as they’re forced to put aside any awkwardness that comes with first meetings, and focus on the task at hand.

On the other side, Kim Ji Suk and Yoo In Young have been friends for more than a decade. With a close bond between them, they face none of the challenges that come with making new acquaintances. But that doesn’t mean this task will be easy! Sharing their thoughts about love, while moving through their own creative process, the two teams reveal much about themselves and inevitably develop closer relationships along the way.

Only one team will receive the honor of having their work developed into an actual web drama and win the coveted title of writer. But that doesn’t mean they can’t win in other ways! Will spending so much time together, writing about love, spark a little real-life romance as well?&nbsp;

Offering a unique look at what it takes to develop a romantic web drama, “The Romance” is a 2020 variety show directed by Park Sang Do.

The Romance

At nineteen, Hyun Jae (Jung Je Won) should have had his whole life ahead of him. But when he’s diagnosed with a terminal illness, his entire world is flipped upside down.

Determined to spend the last days he has left as normally as possible he returns to school, hoping that by focusing on his college entrance exams, he won’t have time to think about much else. But no matter how hard he tries to make things normal, things just aren’t the same.&nbsp;

With little time left, Hyun Jae decides the only thing he can do is find a way to enjoy every moment of every day. With that mindset he finds the courage to do the impossible; he confesses his long-hidden feelings to his first love, Soo Min (Kim Bo Ra). Caught up in her own worries about the future, Soo Min has a hard time focusing on the present but when he learns of Hyun Jae’s illness, her perspective is forced to change.

Holding on to the precious moments they have left, Hyun Jae, Soo Min, and Hyun Jae’s best friend, Ji Hoon (Lee Gun Woo), are finding it hard to say goodbye to this one perfect summer.
