Kang Mina, also known as simply Mina, is a South Korean singer and actress. She was born on December 4, 1999 in Icheon, South Korea, and made her debut in the entertainment world in 2016 when she participated in the Mnet reality survival program, “Produce 101”. Finishing ninth on the program earned her a place in the idol group, I.O.I but instead of promoting with the group, she returned to her parent company, Jellyfish Entertainment, to debut with their idol group, Gugudan. In 2017 she made her debut as an actress and has since appeared in several television dramas, including “20th Century Boy and Girl” (2017), “Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter” (2018), and “Hotel del Luna” (2019).
