Lee Joo Young is a South Korean actress who was born on February 14, 1992. She studied at Kyung Hee University, where she majored in Theater and Film. She made her debut in 2011, appearing in the movie “Behinds,” and going on to appear in the film “A Quiet Dream” (2016). She has also appeared in a number of dramas, including “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” (2016-2017) and “Itaewon Class” (2020).

When former high school friends Lee Jun Seong (Yoo Seung Ho) and Song Jae Hyo (Kim Dong Hwi) meet their former classmate Park Min Woo (Yoo Su Bin) for drinks one night, the booze flows and flows until the latter passes out drunk. Jun Seong and Jae Hyo are both mired in financial difficulties. The former has had to turn his back on a promising sports career, and is now being swallowed up by a mountain of debt. Ye Ri (Han Ye Ri) is a Chinese woman who grew up without her father, who once enjoyed a brief fling with her mother.

She decides to visit her father, in South Korea, but this proves to be an ill-fated decision: Shortly after she arrives, he becomes sick and is eventually paralyzed.

Left with no choice in the matter, she must stay and take care of him. In order to make ends meet, she takes a job running a local bar. This is quite a fall from grace for Ye Ri, who is highly educated, and spends her time on high-minded pursuits, including poetry.

The bar’s male patrons have developed a fixation on her, however. These include Ik Joon (Yang Ik Joon), a potty-mouthed, scruffy ruffian, landlord Jong Bin (Yoon Jong Bin), and Jung Bum (Park Jung Bum), a defector from North Korea.

Although on friendly terms with one another, all three vie for her affections – but can any of these lowly suitors win Ye Ri’s heart?
