Gallant is the stage name of Christopher Gallant, an American singer and songwriter. He was born on November 14, 1991, in Washington, D.C., and then grew up in Columbia, Maryland. He self-released his debut EP, “Zebra,” in 2014. His 2016 debut studio album, “Ology” brought him critical acclaim and a Grammy Award nomination for Best Contemporary Urban Album. With Sufjan Stevens in 2016, Gallant also launched his popular video series “In the Room,” in which he performs collaborations with some of the biggest names in music. In early 2017, Gallant released the single “Cave Me In” in collaboration with K-pop stars Tablo and Eric Nam. In 2018, Gallant starred in the Viki Original series “When You Call My Name” about the meeting and shared stories between Gallant and the popular K-pop group MONSTA X. The mini-documentary features a must-see acoustic duet of MONSTA X’s song “Beautiful.”
