Shen Teng is a Chinese actor and comedian who was born in Qiqihar, China on October 23, 1979. He studied at the People’s Liberation Army Academy of Art, entering in 1999, and graduating in 2003. He first rose to prominence as an actor when he appeared in the lead role of the movie “Goodbye Mr. Loser” in 2015. He also appeared in “Go Away Mr. Tumor” (2015), and more recently starred in the film “Crazy Alien“ (2019).

During the 12th Century, the household of a powerful Song Dynasty politician is thrown into chaos when a visiting delegate Jin is found murdered at dawn. The delegate had been carrying an important letter which is now missing. Furious officials begin executing soldiers for failing to protect the delegate. And when their attention turns to a middle-aged corporal named Zhang Da (Shen Teng), it looks like he will be next.

However, Zhang Da is a smooth talker, and somehow manages to convince his would-be executioners that he has what it takes to find the murderer. The politician orders an ambitious young soldier named Sun Jun (Jackson Yee) to assist Zhang Da, just hours before news of the murder becomes widespread. The duo knows that failure to solve the crime will lead to death or dishonor, but can they get to the bottom of this increasingly complex case before time runs out?

To celebrate China’s National Day, this four-part anthology highlights work by some of the country’s most talented directors. With settings ranging from the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1942 to the futuristic world of 2050, each director utilizes a different genre to present their own unique ideas of “home” and “country” while simultaneously paying homage to the dedication and sacrifice of those who have come before.

In Wu Jing’s “Windriders,” the commander of the Jizhong Cavalry Regiment, Ma Ren Xing (Wu Jing) must lead his unit into a brutal World War II battle, including his son, Ma Cheng Feng (Leo Wu). Moving away from battle and into a much more peaceful setting, Zhang Zi Yi’s “Poem” takes us to the 1960s, where hard-won technological breakthroughs change one family’s lives forever. Set in the late 1970s, Xu Zheng’s “Ad Man” is based on the true story of China’s first television advertisement. To wrap up the anthology, Shen Teng’s “Go Youth” tells the story of an emotionless bionic robot whose time traveling antics portray a bright hope for the future.

The third installment of the “National Day Celebration” trilogy, “My Country, My Parents” is a 2021 Chinese anthology drama film directed by Wu Jing, Zhang Zi Yi, Xu Zheng, and Shen Teng.

Bao Bao (Chang Yuan) is a piano teacher and a neatness- and hygiene-obsessed man who spends almost every waking moment cleaning, ironing, straightening, and disinfecting everything he comes into contact with. Horrified by everything dirty, untidy, or potentially germ-ridden, he has an innate disdain for everything that looks even remotely unsterile. One day, while riding his bicycle through town, he runs into a young woman riding a motor scooter named Song Wen Nuan (Li Qin). She turns out to be everything he isn’t: Although she is also a musician (a singer and guitarist), she loves mess and the comfort of her own disorder, as well as performing in front of large crowds.

The two get off on the wrong foot, with both trying to reform the other. But after a while, they decide to collaborate, forming a musical duo, and trying out at a talent contest. What follows for both parties is a journey of discovery: Bao Bao revisits his childhood, and the tragic accident that sent him into his obsessive-compulsive world. And as they finally begin to achieve some degree of musical success, they start to develop a bond of friendship. But will this relationship really help Bao Bao shed the habits of a lifetime?

In director Ning Hao’s “A Beijing Good Person”, a sweet-natured Beijing resident (Ge You) finds himself in mixed-up, body-swapping caper, after resorting to identity fraud, in a last-ditch attempt to help his uninsured uncle get the medical attention he so desperately needs.&nbsp;

Chen Sicheng’s “A Mystery of UFO” tells the story of a pair of scientists and a reporter who team up to investigate the rumors of a UFO which appeared in Afu Village, deep in the heart of Qiannan, Guizhou.

In “The Way Back to Hometown”, directors Chao Deng and Baimei Yu team up to tell the story of a pair of corporate bigwigs who return to their small hometown to take part in a special celebration. While there, the two find their feelings for each other have begun to change.

Da-Mo Peng and Fei Yan’s “The Magical Touches” tells the story of a man who goes to great lengths to convince his wife that he’s studying art in Russia, when in reality, he returned to his hometown to help out. Little does he know, his wife has plans to visit his hometown soon.

By far the most emotional of the stories, Xu Zheng’s “The Last Class” tells the story of Lao Fan, a teacher who has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Convinced he’s living in the past, students of this beloved teacher go to great lengths to help him relive his glory days.

An entertaining collection of short films, “My People, My Homeland” is a 2020 anthology comedy film directed by some of China’s most highly acclaimed filmmakers.

Wang Duo Yu (Shen Teng) is a hapless loser. He plays as a goalkeeper for a lower league soccer team, and looks set for a life of poverty and dejection.

But life takes a sudden twist when all of a sudden he is contacted by a trust fund operator who tells him that a relative he barely knew existed – a rich great uncle – has died and left him the sole heir to a multi-million fortune.

All hell breaks loose, but in the midst of the mayhem, Xia Luo blacks out and suddenly wakes up as his teenage self, back in school in 1997.

Realizing he has to re-live the past two decades, Xia Luo attempts to do better the second time around.
