Ou Hao is a Chinese actor and singer. He was born in Pingtan County, Fujian, China on October 13, 1992 and made his debut in the entertainment world in 2012 with the release of his first single “Fake Movement”, which won him the “Outstanding Newcomer” award at the Chinese Music Awards that same year. He made his debut as an actor in 2014, when he took on his first silver-screen role. Since then, he has appeared in numerous films and several television dramas, including the 2019 romance drama “Love Under the Moon”.

During the 12th Century, the household of a powerful Song Dynasty politician is thrown into chaos when a visiting delegate Jin is found murdered at dawn. The delegate had been carrying an important letter which is now missing. Furious officials begin executing soldiers for failing to protect the delegate. And when their attention turns to a middle-aged corporal named Zhang Da (Shen Teng), it looks like he will be next.

However, Zhang Da is a smooth talker, and somehow manages to convince his would-be executioners that he has what it takes to find the murderer. The politician orders an ambitious young soldier named Sun Jun (Jackson Yee) to assist Zhang Da, just hours before news of the murder becomes widespread. The duo knows that failure to solve the crime will lead to death or dishonor, but can they get to the bottom of this increasingly complex case before time runs out?

In a compilation of seven short films, seven directors explore the history of modern China and its people, going back to the 1940s and the aftermath of World War II, on the eve of the birth of the People’s Republic of China, through to the 1960s, the 1980s, the 1990s, and finally the 2010s, with stars like Song Jia and Ou Hao making appearances.

The first film focuses on an engineer struggling to organize a ceremony to mark the birth of the nation and the second tells the story of a love-sick nuclear scientist. In the third film, a young boy does what he can to help his neighborhood watch the gold medal match of the women’s volleyball competition in the 1984 Olympic Games.

The remaining films focus on more recent events, including two groups of people preparing for the handover of Hong Kong by the British colonial government in 1997. There is another Olympic story in a film about events surrounding the 2008 Olympics, which were held in Beijing, as a taxi driver decides to gift a ticket he had bought for his own son to another boy.

In the sixth film, two homeless boys watch a spectacular space mission in the 2010s. And in the final film, a female air force pilot attempts to ensure that a military parade to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second Sino-Japanese War goes off without a hitch

It is May 14, 2018, and 100 or so passengers are aboard Airbus flight A319 from Chongqing to Lhasa, Tibet. The aircraft suffers a major blow when the cockpit’s windshield cracks. The pilots radio air traffic control to report on their perilous situation. But then the unthinkable happens – the glass shatters, sending the pressure spiraling throughout the aircraft. The passengers panic, and one of the pilot team is taken out of action, leaving the former air force ace-turned steely nerved veteran captain Liu Chang Jian (Zhang Han Yu) to find a solution to the problem, along with his first mate Liang Dong (Du Jiang). The plane plummets almost 2.5km, and the captain manages to intervene just in time, but the really tough flying is only just getting started.

The aircraft is flying above the Tibetan Himalayas, oxygen reserves are running low and a storm starts to brew outside, making Liu Chang Jian’s seemingly impossible task that bit harder. Pandemonium breaks out among the passengers, but the lead flight attendant Bin Nan (Yuan Quan) is determined to calm their nerves and make them place their trust in her, the crew...and the captain.
