Jung Doo Hong is a South Korean action director, martial arts choreographer, stunt coordinator, and actor. He was born in Chilsan-ri, Imcheon-myeon, Buyeo County, South Chungcheong Province, South Korea on December 14, 1966 and began working in the entertainment industry in 1990, when he took on his first role as a film stuntman. In 1992 he made his debut as an action director, making him the youngest person ever to hold that position in Korean film history. It wasn’t long after that he made a name for himself as the most important and influential action director in the Korean entertainment industry. Along with directing, he has opened the Seoul Action School, taken on international projects, competed as a professional boxer, and done a fair bit of acting. Over the years, he has appeared in both television dramas and films, including the 2019 action film, “Fist and Furious”.

A North Korean defector, Gook Hyeon (Ryu Deok Hwan) has made a new life for himself in South Korea, working as a freelance video journalist. Always on the hunt for a compelling story to cover, he’s only interested in working on the most provocative pieces.

In his search for the next great story, he comes across former violent crimes detective, Ki Man (Jung Doo Hong). Once involved in the investigation of powerful a drug cartel, Ki Man was at the top of his game until things took a serious and unexpected turn for the worst. Now living off scraps, with a piece of knife stuck in his head, Ki Man is searching for a way to get his revenge. Lucky for him, that’s exactly when Gook Hyeon shows up.

Teaming up with the only man willing to listen to him, Ki Man and Gook Hyeon set out on a dangerous mission to chase a story and seek revenge but nothing could prepare them for what they find along the way.

An action-packed thrill-ride, “Fist and Furious” is a 2019 film directed by Ha Won Joon.
