Duan Yi Hong is a Chinese actor who was born on May 16, 1973, in Yili, China. He gained entry to the Central Academy of Drama in 1994, and in 1998 enrolled in the National Theater Company of China. He made his screen acting debut in the TV series “Mother,” also in 1998, and has since gone on to star in a number of hit movie titles, including “The Message” (2009), “Hot Summer Days” (2010), and the more recent “Extraordinary Mission” (2017).

In Beijing, Li Hui Yan (Duan Yi Hong) is a perpetually broke but sharp-witted police detective who lives in squalor with his elementary school-age son. He is forever trying to borrow money from his co-workers.
