Kim Su An is a South Korean child star actress who was born on January 26, 2006. She made her debut in the film release “Sorry, Thanks” in 2011. She has since gone on to appear in movie titles such as “Sprout” (2013) and “Coin Locker Girl” (2015) – as well as the box office smash “Train to Busan” in 2016. She won the Best Supporting Actress prize at the Buil Film Awards for her role in “The Battleship Island” in 2017.

During the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), Yoo Se Poong (Kim Min Jae) is a talented young physician who practices at the royal palace. But when he is implicated in a conspiracy that threatens the lives of the members of the royal family, he is driven from court. He eventually finds himself in a remote village community – a huge fall from grace for a man who had once occupied such a prestigious role.

When he intervenes to help heal a local, he finds his stay in the village becomes prolonged – more so than he would have liked. And as he does so, he attracts the attention of Gye Ji Han (Kim Sang Kyung), the middle-aged local doctor. Gye Ji Ha thinks that Yoo Se Poong could become an impeccable doctor if he could only develop a little more compassion and humanity – and decides to try to take the younger man under his wing. Yoo Se Poong also meets Seo Eun Woo (Kim Hyang Gi), a young widow. Despite the fact that she comes from a noble family, social convention dictates that Seo Eun Woo must remain faithful to her deceased husband for the rest of her life – much to her displeasure! What will become of this trio as they begin to spend more time in one another’s company?

"Poong, poong… who’s there?" 

Fund manager Seok Woo (Gong Yoo) lives in Seoul and is separated from his wife.

His life is his work, and he spends relatively little time with his young daughter, who misses him very much.

She asks him to grant him a birthday wish – to take her to the seaside city of Busan. He agrees and decides to take her out for the day on the KTX, a high-speed express train that links some of South Korea’s biggest cities.

They board the train, along with a number of fellow passengers, including a young couple who are expecting a baby, a homeless man, and the members of a high school baseball team.

One more passenger also boards, just as the train is preparing to pull out of the station – a flesh-eating zombie!

The zombie bites and infects a member of the train’s crew, and together the two zombies run rampant on the KTX, turning a large number of the passengers into zombies, too.

Outside the train, things are even worse. A full-blown zombie pandemic is raging, and many cities fall to the flesh-eaters.

The South Korean military manages to establish a safe haven in Busan – so Seok Woo and the other non-zombie survivors must pool their wits if they are to escape the train without getting infected!

Can Seok Woo bring his daughter to safety?
