Shuko Ito is a Japanese actress, comedian, and illustrator. She was born in Kanagawa, Japan on January 31, 1977, and made her debut as an actress in 2002. Since then, she has appeared in a variety of films and television dramas, including “Peanut Butter Sandwich” (2020).

At thirty-three, Soichi Haruta (Kei Tanaka) should have been living a full, happy, comfortable life. Unfortunately, he’s not. As an employee at a local real estate office, Soichi isn’t exactly unsuccessful in his career but when it comes to women, he has absolutely no luck. Still living with his parents, Soichi often wonders if his luck will ever change. Ironically enough, it does; but not in the way he was expecting.

Done supporting him, Soichi’s mother decides to walk away, leaving her son to find a way to survive on his own. With no idea how to cook, clean, or generally take care of himself, Soichi wastes no time in accepting his co-worker, Ryota Maki’s (Kento Hayashi), offer when he invites Soichi to live with him. Though Soichi is happy to be enjoying Ryota’s impeccable housekeeping skills, he’s completely caught off guard when he learns that Ryota has long had a crush on him. With the number of women who still believe in “happily ever after” rapidly dwindling, the government created a top secret agency dedicated to supporting those still in search of their perfect match. Using high-tech equipment on par with any other national intelligence agency, the Peanut Butter Sandwich, or PBS, is well equipped to handle any job, be it big or small. As the newest recruit to the PBS, Tsubaki (Honoka Yahagi) is tasked with monitoring four new targets and assisting them in finding their one true love; but the job won’t be easy.

A successful manager at an IT company, Katagiri Sayo (Akane Hotta) is convinced that you can obtain everything you need in life through hard work and she lives her life as proof. Setting extraordinarily high standards for herself, she doesn’t see why a man can’t live up to her standards as well. So far, none have and Sayo is beginning to wonder if anyone ever will. Meanwhile, Morimoto Miharu (Miori Takimoto) is a nurse desperately holding onto the hope that her long-time boyfriend will finally propose; but after six years together, the odds aren’t looking so good. It may be time to let go but how? Equally desperate for love, Yamashita Miwa (Miwako Kakei) works at a local bank and suffers from such low self-esteem that she’s willing to give herself to anyone willing to pay her even the slightest bit of attention. She’s well aware that none of these men are interested in love, but she just can’t seem to find a way to say no. And then there’s the stunningly gorgeous Matsuoka Akane (Niwa Niki), an executive assistant who has no problem drawing a man’s attention but can’t seem to find one who isn’t exceedingly dull.

With four completely different targets assigned to her, Tsubaki can think of only one way to help these women and close her first case. Infiltrating their ranks by joining their yoga class, Tsubaki becomes one of the group but the job before her is monumental. Can this rookie agent really help these love-starved souls find their perfect match?

A year ago, coworkers Soichi Haruta (Kei Tanaka) and Ryota Maki (Kento Hayashi) found love. But, after some time apart at the workplace, Soichi Haruta returns to the office where his one-time boss Musashi Kurosawa (Kotaro Yoshida) still works. The latter once fell head-over-heels in love with Soichi Haruta, but now warmly welcomes him back to the fold. Ryota Maki, meanwhile, has transferred to the firm’s HQ.

However, surprises lay in wait as a project team from headquarters arrives on a special mission. One of the team’s members, coincidentally, is Ryota Maki. But the presence of other attractive teammates starts to cause friction between Soichi Haruta and Ryota Maki. And to make matters even more confusing, an accident causes Musashi Kurosawa to forget all his prior memories of Soichi Haruta. When the older man sees Soichi Haruta after losing his memory, he falls in love with the latter...all over again! With the nation’s birth rate at an all-time low and the age of the country's population on a steady incline, the Japanese government is on the verge of a national crisis. In order to combat these worrisome statistics, the government has decided to implement the “Marriage Lottery Act”. Under this new law, all citizens between the ages of 25-39, who are single and have no children, are required to attend government planned blind dates. After randomly selecting men and women for these state sanctioned dates, each citizen must attend their appointed marriage interview. Though they’re not necessarily required to agree to the government proposed marriage. In fact, each citizen has the right to decline the government’s proposal twice. However, if a suitable match cannot be made by then, a third rejection automatically enlists the individual into two years of service on the Anti-terrorism Activities Support Team.

A twenty-six year old systems engineer, living alone in Tokyo, Tatsuhiko Miyasaka (Nomura Shuhei) was perfectly content with his single life. Suffering from some rather severe childhood trauma, life for Tatsuhiko was easier without other people in it. But now, thanks to this new law, Tatsuhiko finds himself forced to prepare for a date he never would have planned on his own. Meanwhile, another Tokyo resident, Nana Fuyumura (Rin Takanashi), finds herself in a very similar situation. Subject to the new law after a recent breakup with her boyfriend, Nana must now force herself back into the world of dating, or suffer the consequences. But what if she’s not ready?

Forced together by their government, Tatsuhiko and Nana have no choice but to participate in their mandated marriage interview. But can two total strangers truly be expected to find life-long happiness under such unorthodox circumstances?&nbsp;
