Takumi Kitamura is an award-winning Japanese singer, actor, and model. He was born in Tokyo, Japan, on November 3, 1997, and made both his acting and singing debut in 2008. Since then, he has appeared in a number of films and television dramas, including “Residential Complex” (2018).

Suzu Yukimiya (Yuriko Yoshitaka) is a 35-year-old woman who works as an obstetrician and gynecologist. She had to put every ounce of her heart into her studies – only for everything to end in disappointment. She was forced to leave her first big job at a major hospital because of a lawsuit. Now she has come to a small seaside town to work in a local clinic. Her days quickly become mundane, and she becomes frustrated with her life.

To escape the drudgery, one day she decides to go camping – alone. She is enjoying drinking alone and looking at the stars in the night sky when she notices a handsome young man named Issei Hiiragi (Takumi Kitamura). The man takes pictures of her, drinks her sake – and then kisses her. She later learns that Issei Hiiragi is deaf, and they part. But fate brings them together again a few days later. Could love bloom between this despondent doctor and a man 10 years her junior?

Tired of living in their cramped apartment, Nana Igarashi (Kyoko Fukada) and her husband Daiki (Kenichi Matsuyama) decide to move to a cooperative house. With a much more spacious place to call home, the scuba instructor and her salaryman agree there couldn’t be a better time to start growing their little family. But having a baby isn’t as easy as it seems, especially not when they share space with such interesting neighbors.

Sharing the co-op with the Igarashis, the Komiyamas appear to be a happy, well-to-do family, but the truth couldn’t be more opposite. With Shinichiro (Toru Nomaguchi) out of work and Miyuki’s (Sei Matobu) spending habits out of control, the couple face a growing number of problems. But they’re not the only residents with issues. Not yet married, Ryoji (Hiroyuki Hirayama) and Chihiro (Maryjun Takahashi) have plans to spend a beautiful life together, but when Ryoji’s ex-wife passes, his estranged son must move in with them. Never expecting a child to enter their lives, Chihiro has a lot of adjusting to do if their impending marriage is ever going to work. Meanwhile, the co-op’s last couple faces problems of their own. Having spent his entire life living in the closet, Wataru (Hidekazu Mashima) has no plans of changing anytime soon. The polar opposite, Saku (Takumi Kitamura) wants nothing more than to live his life loud and proud, enjoying his life with Wataru to the fullest. But how can he do that when his partner refuses to acknowledge their relationship in public?

With each resident family dealing with their own set of life-changing issues, can Nana and Daiki find a way to help others while simultaneously working on their own problems? Or will the strain of living such a complicated life prove to be too much?

Yoshika Eto (Matsuoka Mayu) has always been a dreamer. As a young child, her days were full of fantasies. And the undisputed prince of all her dreams was Ichi (Takumi Kitamura), a tall, good-looking high school classmate. She would once while away the hours drawing comics where Ichi featured as a heroic prince. In real life, though, she was always too shy to approach him.

Now, many years later, she still dreams of Ichi. She works as a junior accountant and has never had a boyfriend. But one day she resolves to change all that – and organizes a high school reunion (using a fake name), so she can have the chance to meet him again. Meanwhile, a bumbling and loud co-worker named Kirishima (Daichi Watanabe) has developed a crush on her. Initially, Yoshika Eto isn’t keen, but eventually agrees to go on a date with him, pleased to finally have an admirer.

But as the school reunion approaches, she will finally meet Ichi again – will he turn out to be the Prince Charming of his dreams, or should she turn her romantic attentions to the goofy by loving Kirishima?
