Chen Rui is a Chinese actor who was born in 1961 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China. He got his first major break in 1978 when he was selected to work as an actor by the Pearl River Film Company. He starred in the 1982 movie “Spark in the Mei Mountain,” later going on to appear in films such as “Soul of the Sea” (1997) and the hit movies “Goalkeeper” (2011) and “70 80 90: A Shenzhen Love Story” (2016).
