Miyeon is a South Korean singer and actress who was born in Seoul, South Korea, on January 31, 1997. She made her entertainment industry debut in 2017, when she appeared in a music video for a song by the solo artist Seulong. She then went on to join the all-female K-pop group IDLE, which made its debut release on May 2, 2018, with the song “Latata.” She made her acting debut in the drama series “Replay” (2021).

Hosted by DEX and i-dle's Miyeon, this program features over two dozen talented contestants from across Asia competing in various vocal, performance, and music production challenges to see if they have what it takes to become a K-pop idol. Veteran K-pop stars Hui and Jinho of PENTAGON, Yuju of GFRIEND, and 1MILLION dance studio choreographers Lia Kim and Lee Yoo Jung will mentor the aspiring idols and help determine who will make the final lineup.
