Mizuki Itagaki is a Japanese singer and actor who was born in Tokyo, Japan, on October 25, 2000. He made his movie debut before his 14th birthday, appearing in “Ushijima the Loan Shark Part 2,” the second movie adaptation of a popular manga series of the same name. He also joined the all-male pop group M!LK later the same year. The following year, he appeared in the drama series “Shuriken Sentai Ninninger.” More recently, he has starred in the drama series titles “Yell” and “Deliveries from the Heart – True Stories from Mercari” (both 2020).

Growing up in an extraordinarily wealthy family, Mamoru Hyoga (Noriko Eguchi) has never wanted for anything in her entire life. Miura Manatsu (Mizuki Itagaki) is a young office worker who finds himself in a quandary: His mother is suffering from ill-health, and he believes that getting married will be a good way to bring some cheer to her – and help her recovery. The only problem is he doesn’t have a girlfriend.

Six dramatized stories based on true-life events connected to the popular Japanese flea market service Mercari explores the lives of ordinary folk in the country – and how family, friends, and more stay connected in modern society.

Riku (Marie Iitoyo) is a delivery operator for a major logistics firm named Elephant Express. She is contracted to make a series of deliveries to some very different households.

In the first story, Riku delivers an unusual package full of memories to a new owner.

Secondly, a soon-to-be-divorced couple decides to have a final meal together before going on their separate ways – but could this final, civilized act have far-reaching consequences?

In the third story, a hobbyist who enjoys making small trinkets to sell for minor sums on the Mercari marketplace runs into a buyer at a railway station.

In story number four, a neighbor takes objection to a mother of four whose exasperated scolding of her offspring raises the noise levels unacceptably high.

In the penultimate story, a family that has moved to the countryside starts growing flowers in an empty field – and starts gaining interest from potential buyers on the Mercari platform.

And in the final episode, Riku’s father is hospitalized – and he asks her to watch a videotape featuring footage of her late grandparents.

Minase Akari (Hashimoto Kanna), aged 17, takes a family holiday on the island of Kyushu. Her family stays in a guesthouse, whose owner’s son Morita Ikumi (Mizuki Itagaki), falls for her. The two spend time together and eventually develop a close romantic bond.

One fateful night, they sit together and watch a meteor shower – an event that takes place above the Kyushu skies just once every four years. Knowing they will soon be parted, the duo promises to reunite at the same spot, underneath the same meteor shower in four years’ time.

Now in her early 20s, Minase Akari returns to keep her promise. But there is no sign of Morita Ikumi.
