Nakamura Yuko is a Japanese actress who was born on January 7, 1975, in Fukui, Japan. She studied Italian at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. She made her acting debut in the late 1990s, and won the Best Actress award at the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema in 2001 for her role in the movie film Firefly, also released in 2001. More recently, she has appeared in the 2016 movies “Respect” and “The Sun,” as well as the 2019 South Korean film “Moonlit Winter.”

Growing up without parents, it was as if Kida (Iwata Takanori) and Makoto (Mackenyu) were destined to become lifelong friends. With no one to depend on but each other, the two boys quickly formed an unshakable bond. Spending their lives as outcasts, it wasn’t difficult for them to spot a kindred spirit in Yocchi (Anna Yamada), a transfer student who, like them, had no one around to care for her. Welcoming Yocchi into their little “family”, the three friends grew up happy enough; but that happiness wouldn’t last forever.&nbsp;

Suffering an incident at the age of twenty that would radically change their lives, Kida and Makoto vowed then and there to someday have their revenge on those who had shattered their peaceful little world. Yoon Hee (Kim Hee Ae) is a woman in her forties who has recently divorced her husband. She is depressed, but hides her sadness from her teenage, high schooler daughter Sae Bom (Kim So Hye). One day, Sae Bom finds a letter addressed to her mother from a small town in a rural part of Japan. She accidentally ends up reading it, and is surprised to see that it contains details about her mother’s first love, a secret love that she has never spoken of to anyone. Intent on lifting her mother out of her gloom, Sae Bom devises a plan. She convinces her mother to travel together to Japan – without revealing her true intentions: to search for the older woman’s first love.

What follows for mother and daughter is a journey of discovery. Although Yoon Hee would not dare to admit it, she is secretly hopeful (and somewhat anxious) about the prospect of a reunion with her first love. But could the journey also help her form a tighter bond with her precious daughter?
