Kim Sung Kyu, also known as Sunggyu or Sungkyu, is an award-winning South Korean singer and actor. He was born in Jeonju, South Korea, on April 28, 1989, and made his debut in the entertainment industry in 2010, as the leader and main vocalist of the K-pop boy band, Infinite. In 2012, he made his debut as a musical actor, taking his first stage role in the musical, “Gwanghwamun Sonata”. Later that same year, he released his first solo EP, marking his debut as a solo artist and also made his first appearance in a television drama. Since then, he has taken a wide variety of roles in theater productions, and has appeared on a number of television variety programs, including “Music Bank K-Chart in Mexico” (2014).

There have been many idol groups who have fallen out of the spotlight over the years. From long hiatuses to unexpected disbandment, major lineup changes, or more recently, simply fading into the background due to the pandemic, there are many reasons why a group might drift out of the limelight. But just because a group has faded away doesn’t mean its members are ready to call it quits.
Eager for a chance to prove themselves once again, these determined idols are stepping into the limelight once more, but whether or not they stay there is entirely up to them. In a brand new survival reality program, idols and rookies alike will compete for a chance to take the stage in a globally broadcasted showcase unlike any other.&nbsp;

Under the tutelage of some of the industry’s brightest stars, the contestants will have a chance to learn from the best. But how they apply those lessons will determine whether or not they’ll secure themselves a place in the spotlight. Competing against rookies desperate to grab the spotlight for themselves, do these fallen stars have what it takes to shine once more?&nbsp;

The best artists are gathered to come up with the K-Pop star of the next generation. This project is to form a new idol group by training the idol trainees through various quests. Not like the survival audition programs from the past, this show focuses on the journey to their debut and how they grow up while preparing for their debut. Lyn, Kim Sung Kyu, EDEN, HANHAE, and Honey J will train them in vocals, rap, and dance, and Master MC Defconn and Jo Jung Sik will be watching them. Will the members complete the players\u2019 missions and be upgraded as super rookies?
