Yuen Qiu is an actress and martial arts practitioner who was born on April 19, 1950. She studied at the Peking Opera School and studied martial arts under the same teachers as the likes of Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung. She initially started to work as a stuntwoman and in the early 1970s also started starring as an actress in films, including the James Bond title “The Man with the Golden Gun” (1974). She played the all-action landlady in the martial arts-themed comedy hit movie “Kung Fu Hustle” in 2004. More recently, she has appeared in the films “My Alien Girlfriend” (2017) and “We Are Legends” (2019).
