Chi Pu is a Vietnamese actress and singer who was born on June 14, 1993, in Hanoi, Vietnam. She first rose to fame when she took part in the 2009 edition of the Miss Teen Vietnam beauty pageant and debuted as an actress in the 2013 dramas “Waterdrop” and “Happy Dream.” In 2014, she appeared in the horror film “Conjuring Spirit.” In 2017, she made her musical debut, releasing the album “Love Story.” In 2018, she starred in the film “Live Again, Love Again.”

Chi Pu

Lan (Phuong Mai) is a novelist and the mother of a young son. After her husband cheats on her, she decides to move out and looks for a new place to live, along with her child. Property prices are high, but she eventually manages to find a small apartment in an old complex. The price seems good, so she decides to move in. But shortly after taking up residence in the apartment, strange things begin to happen. She notices a strange goo on the floor, then finds that eerie goings-on are connected with a mysterious red musical box. And then, her son thinks he has seen the ghost of a woman wearing a red dress.

An older woman from the neighborhood explains that that apartment may be haunted by a spirit that cannot – or will not – leave. Lan also encounters Vu (Su Quang), a budding musician who has also recently moved in, and like Lan and her son, has been having disturbing dreams possibly featuring the tormented ghost. But when other residents start getting hurt, Lan senses that she must get to the bottom of the mystery.

“Conjuring Spirit” is a 2014 Vietnamese movie that was directed by Van M. Pham.
