Michelle Yeoh is a Malaysian actress who was born on August 6, 1962. She studied ballet at the Royal Academy of Dance in London, UK, and made her acting debut in the early 1980s. She cut her teeth in the world of Hong Kong action films, starring in the movies “Yes, Madam” (1985), “Police Story 3: Supercop” (1992), and “Holy Weapon” (1993). She transitioned into acting in major Hollywood productions, appearing in “Tomorrow Never Dies” (1997) and the smash hit “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” (2000). She went on to star in the film “Memoirs of a Geisha” (2005), the drama series “Star Trek: Discovery” (2017-2020), and the more recent film “Everything Everywhere All at Once” (2022).
