Liu Yan is a Chinese actress, TV personality, and singer who was born on November 8, 1980, in Hengyang, Hunan Province, China. She studied at Hunan Normal University and after working briefly in the medical profession, in 1999, she turned her attention to the entertainment industry, debuting on variety TV shows. She has since gone on to become an actress and has appeared in the movies “Badges of Fury” (2013) and “The Incredible Truth” (2013), as well as the more recent drama titles “Legendary Hotel” (2021) and “A Dream of Splendor” (2022).

In the early 11th Century, the Imperial family faces a crisis when a damning painting of the Empress' past life goes missing.
