The King of Goryeo (Joo Jin Mo) is under pressure to produce a male heir after marrying Yuan Dynasty princess No Guk (Song Ji Hyo). However, there’s an obstacle standing in his way: he is in love with Hong Rim (Zo In Sung), the male head of his royal guard, and has no interest in consummating his marriage with the Queen. In desperation, the King orders the Queen and Hong Rim to have a child together, who he will then pretend is his own, but his scheme backfires when the duo starts to fall for one another! When the King learns what has happened, he flies into a violent rage, forcing Hong Rim to go on the run, but Hong Rim will not give up on his love for the Queen. Will true love win the day – or will tragedy strike a fatal blow? This award-winning 2008 South Korean movie was directed by Yoo Ha.
